The majority of academic and religious establishments continue to teach in Old High Kyzian througout the known realms, and even when traveling abroad one can often find scholars and clergy able to communicate in the tongue. \n• Standard Kyzian The language spoken throughout the Kyzian Empire, Standard Kyzian is clearly derived from Old High Kyzian but has mutated enough as to be a wholly separate language. \n• Castravese A poor imitation of Standard Kyzian; while speakers of both can understand eachother, the Castravespan accent is a marker that someone is from the hinterlands of the Terra Australis and not the heartland of the Empire. \nTradespeak A curious pidgin employed by traders, merchants, sailors, and the like throughout the realms. While not anyone’s native tongue and somewhat limited in vocabulary when it comes to discussing complex academic subjects, it is well suited for matters of commerce and it is easy to find speakers of Tradespeak virtually anywhere worth mentioning. \nAardian \n• Delvish The mother tongue of the dwarven folk, widely spoken in Deep Delve and by most of the dwarves of the hills, mountains, and caves in the south, as well as their deep gnomish counterparts \n• Campañian A divergent tongue of the boreal hill dwarf population. \n• Hillspeak A brutish corruption spoken by surface-dwelling northern goblinoids and giants and kobolds in the region. \nIsland \n• City Speech A strange mix of Standard Kyzian and the East Aronian indigenous to the region, popular around Aron Bay and Blackrock. Oddly pleasing to the ear. \n• East Aronian The native tongue of most of the populated parts of the Spice Islands. \n• West Aronian Spoken in remote parts of Fire Island; poorly attested. \nVintska The family of languages used in the far North \n• Oberlang The dialect of the plain and mountain folk in the eastern reaches \n• Skraalslang The patois of Skraalsberg, a dialect of Oberlang influence heavily by Kyzian \n• Ashlang The dialect spoken by the central river and forest folk of the north. Mutually intelligible with both Oberlang and Auslang. \n• Auslang The coastal/western dialect of Vintska; most Auslang speakers have some trouble communicating with heavily accented Oberlang speakers. \nAzarian \n• Azarian The language of the city of Azaroz, by far the most civilized of Azarian tongues. \n• Hamradhi A vulgar tongue of the desert peoples, also reported to be the dominant Eastern trade language used by merchants in Azaraz, Tarunj, Senyo, and farther east. \n• Kreenian The native tongue—unrelated to Delvish—spoken by the Hamradhi dwarves and numerous other humanoid desert denizens \n• Tarunji The language of the people of Tarunj to the south of the desert is poorly attested \n• Ise Niwa A possible (disputed) language of folk to the southeast of the Hamradhan Desert. \nArcadian \n• Aelfan: The ancestral elven tongue spoken by the reclusive elves of Aelfheim, as well as some nobility of Arborea. \n• Arborean: The dominant language of the continental elves, as well as the forest-dwelling gnomish folk of the region \n• Senyo: A poorly attested language spoken by elves from the Senyo Forest to the northeast of the Hamradhan; apparently somewhat mutually intelligible with Arborean, but heavily accented. \n• High Araphelian: Spoken by celestial outsiders; many variances noted but as-yet uncataloged \n• Low Araphelian: Spoken by many fey and sylvan beings of the Haze \n• Kai-Lolthia: Spoken by the white elves and some elven denizens of the Haze, including the shadow elves and bright elves \n• Tophet: A guttural monstrosity used by many demons and like-minded fiends; variances noted but as-yet uncataloged \n• Abaddon: The mellifluous tongue of many devils and fiends; variances noted but","cbCaiu7606N07suD","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiu7606N07suD","pdf",1476005,"English","# Language catalog\n## Kyzian\n## Aardian\n## Island\n## Vintska\n## Azarian\n## Arcadian\n## Formorian and Underspeak\n## Troglan\n# A Cosmology of the Worlds Beyond the World\n## Planes overview\n## Close Planes and Elemental Planes\n## The Haze","[{\"question\":\"What is Old High Kyzian’s role in the realms?\",\"answer\":\"Old High Kyzian has fallen out of common usage, yet remains the language of the educated and is taught by academic and religious establishments.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Tradespeak function in the world?\",\"answer\":\"Tradespeak is a pidgin used by traders, merchants, sailors, and others, limited for complex academic topics but well-suited for commerce.\"},{\"question\":\"How are the cosmos planes organized in the text?\",\"answer\":\"The planes are divided into Close Planes, Far Planes, and the Haze in between, with Nothingness beyond the Far Planes.\"}]","A Linguistic Catalog of the Realms - Languages - Catalog | PDF",1791278850,12]
