We hope, if everyone follows the advice given, we can reduce road casualties, particularly amongst children, and that they go on to be responsible road users. \nNearly all collisions are caused by human error and could be avoided if we all took care and obeyed the rules of the road. Every crash brings misery to those injured, their families and people who know them. We all have a responsibility to prevent this. \nHounslow Council is committed to reducing casualties on our roads. As we cannot do this on our own, we are working in partnership with other agencies such as the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service, the Health Authority and the London Fire Brigade, as well as voluntary groups, internal departments and Hounslow schools. \nYou – the individual road user – are the most important partner. Whether you are a driver, motorcyclist, cyclist or pedestrian, we will not be able to reduce accidents on Hounslow’s roads without your help. \nCouncillor Hanif Khan \nTransport and Corporate Property \nA GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY 5 \nWho we are and what we do \nWithin the council, engineering, education and a","cbCaiiZ0HQpHi2UN","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiZ0HQpHi2UN","pdf",7390774,48,"English","# Welcome\n## Who we are and what we do\n## Teaching your child life skills\n## Children’s Traffic Club London\n## Pedestrian skills training\n## Walking to school","[{\"question\":\"Why does the guide focus on parents for road safety in Hounslow?\",\"answer\":\"It is produced for parents by Hounslow’s road safety and school travel plan team, aiming to help families follow advice and support initiatives that reduce road casualties, especially among children.\"},{\"question\":\"What does the guide say about the main cause of collisions?\",\"answer\":\"Nearly all collisions are caused by human error, and crashes could be avoided if everyone takes care and obeys road rules.\"},{\"question\":\"How should parents teach young children to cross the road?\",\"answer\":\"For children under eight, the guide advises that they should not be out alone or cross by themselves; parents should explain traffic and help them learn safe crossing behavior from an early age.\"}]","A Guide to Road Safety - Welcome - For Parents | PDF",1789728905,74]
