A Guide To OperatingYour Temp System\n\n## MST-01ES Temp System Thermostatwith Timeclock\n\nNOTE TO INSTALLER \nThis manual should be left with the equipment owner. \nGENERAL \nSingle zone products are popular and cost effective in airconditioning systems for many smallto medium sized com-mercial buildings. \nUsing constant volume unitary equipment to heat and coolsmall to medium sized commercial buildings has becomean accepted practice. The Carrier Temp System is designedto be compatible with the full line of Carrier single-zoneheating and cooling units. \nThe Temp System is a communications network of ther-mostats designed to keep comfort at a maximum and main-tenance at a minimum. To coordinate the operation of mul-tiple units, the Temp System programmable thermostats areinterfaced through a communication bus.The communica-tion bus is a simple,3-wire cable installed as a connectorbetween the thermostats. One thermostat is equipped withan electronic timeclock that can broadcast time to all otherthermostats. Each thermostat can be programmed for its ownindividual setback times and temperature. \nCongratulations on your selection. The Carrier Temp Sys- \ntem will provide you with years of trouble-free comfort. \nCarrier Temp System -The Carrier Temp Systemusually consists of more than one thermostat and can be ex-panded to meet whatever number of single zone systemsare required. \n## MS-01ES Temp System Thermostatwithout Timeclock\n\nThe Temp System thermostat maintains proper tempera-tures by controlling the amount of heated or cooled air sup-plied to the area it is installed in. \nEach thermostat is responsible for controlling the tem-perature conditions in its space. Each thermostat will main-tain its own independent occupied/unoccupied time sched-ule and heating/cooling set points. This allows you to programyour Temp System thermostat so that it will maintain dif-ferent temperature ranges at different times. \nTemp System Components -The Carrier TempSystem consists of one or more thermostats that communi-cate by way of a communication bus. Each thermostat con-trols a relay pack which in turn controls the HVAC unit. \nEach thermostat can be connected to others to providecommunication between thermostats.Only one thermostatper system is required to have a timeclock that will broad-cast time to the rest of the system. \nTEMP SYSTEM THERMOSTAT—The MST-01ES(withtimeclock)and MS-01ES(without timeclock)Temp Sys-tem Thermostats(see Fig.1)have the following features: \n● controls temperature to user defined set points \n● maintains 7 day a week occupied/unoccupied schedule \n● eliminates external timeclocks, manual override timer, night low limit thermostat, battery backup,or unit timeguard \n● operates with 3 system switches for supply air fan andthe unit heating and cooling stages. \nTIMECLOCK-The electronic timeclock is built into theMST-01ES thermostat and displays hours,AM or PM,andthe day of the week. \nOPERATION \nTimeclock Operation —To set the time, remove thethermostat cover according to the instructions included withthe Temp System thermostat. After the cover has beenremoved, follow the instructions on the timeclock.SeeFig.2. \nSystem Switches -The thermostat is controlled by3 system switches:FAN,HEAT,and COOL. \nThe FAN switch can be set to ON or AUTO.When setto ON,the fan will run continuously. When set to AUTO,the fan will run during heating and cooling. \nThe COOL switch can be set to OFF or AUTO.Whenthe COOL switch is set to OFF,the Temp System will notenter cooling mode. When the COOL switch is set to AUTO,the Temp System will enter cooling mode when the zonetemperature rises above the cooling set point. \nThe HEAT switch can be set to OFF or AUTO.Whenthe HEAT switch is set to OFF,the Temp System will notenter heating mode. When the HEAT switch is set to AUTO,the Temp System will enter heating mode when the zonetemperature drops below the heating set point. \nSystem Displays -The Temp System thermostat haseither one or two display windo","cbCaiqj9zzWfdgqf","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqj9zzWfdgqf","pdf",403545,"English","# MST-01ES Temp System Thermostat with Timeclock\n##
