It details required video content, including clear candidate identification, core skills progression without edits or montage, and full competitive situations using an unedited, wide-lens format.","20th September 2024  \nDear Parent / Carer,  \nCompleting Video Evidence for GCSE Physical Education  \nI am writing to inform you that I have set a deadline of Friday 8th November for handing in any external evidence for the Practical assessment of our GCSE Course. If any student wants to be assessed in a sport that is not on our school curriculum, external evidence will be required. Below is a how-to guide to produce evidence.  \nIf any student cannot provide their evidence by this date, they will be assessed in the sports they have completed within school and a grade will be given.  \nEach student will be assessed in 3 sports and must consist of the following:  \n􀁸 1 Team Sport  \n􀁸 1 Individual Sport  \n􀁸 1 Free Choice  \nThe full specification for AQA GCSE (including all assessed sports) can be found at the following link:  \n[https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/physical-education/gcse/physical-education-8582/scheme-of](https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/physical-education/gcse/physical-education-8582/scheme-of)assessment   \nThe guidance provided to us from the Exam Board is very clear in that video evidence must include the following:  \n􀁸 A clear shot of the candidate stating:  \no Their name  \no Candidate number  \no School name and centre number (52127)  \no Qualification (AQA GCSE Physical Education)  \no The activity they are performing at the start (e.g. Rugby Union)  \n􀁸 A description of how the student can be identified in the video e.g. if swimming , “Lane 5, wearing a yellow hat”  \n􀁸 It must show the 5 core skills and competitive situation. These must NOT be edited and CANNOT be submitted as a montage of the best bits.  \nSection A-Core Skills  \nEach core skill needs to be worked through from its most basic form to show progression, challenge and some element of competition.  \nFor example , in Football this may start with  \n􀁸 static passing  \n􀁸 passing on the move with a partner  \n􀁸 2V1 situation that adds pressure/challenge to the pass  \n􀁸 3V3 possession/passing game  \nWatch the video link on the school website for a completed example of the Core Skills section.  \nThe Buckingham School is committed to ensure that every student should have the opportunity to attend school activities/obtain equipment, regardless of their financial circumstances. In Dance, there must an audience  \n2. Boxing must comply with England boxing’s criteria  \n3. Time trial cycling is allowed  \n4. Springboard diving is not allowed- it must be platform  \n5.
