Even the smallest things count. Give thanks for these.\n4.      Then, ask “What is one event, interaction or thought where I seemed to feel the Holy Spirit moving in my life today?” A comment a friend made, a negative thought you recognized and rejected, a sudden insight that came to you? Give thanks for this.\n5.      Then, ask “What was one time today that I failed to act in love, turned away from God, or let myself be limited by anger or fear?” Give thanks that you have recognized this, and ask for forgiveness and help.\n6.      Finally, ask yourself what kind of a person you want to be tomorrow, thinking of one particular quality you want to remember to practice for that day. Cheerful? Patient? Kind?\n7.      Give thanks for the day, and remind yourself that you are never separated from God.\n-        Kathleen Flanagan, Xavier University Library/Collection Management","cbCaijKXrxiwCLim","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijKXrxiwCLim","docx",94884,"English","# Daily Examen Steps\n## Quiet breathing and prayer\n## Gratitude review and Holy Spirit moments\n## Failings, forgiveness, and chosen quality\n## Thanksgiving and closeness to God","[{\"question\":\"What is the first step in the Daily Examen practice?\",\"answer\":\"Find a quiet place and spend a few minutes using your breath to calm your mind.\"},{\"question\":\"Which questions does the practice ask about gratitude and Holy Spirit moments?\",\"answer\":\"It asks what three things you are most grateful for today, and what one event, interaction, or thought seemed to show the Holy Spirit moving in your life.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the Daily Examen address times you failed to act in love?\",\"answer\":\"It asks for one time today when you failed to act in love or were limited by anger or fear, then gives thanks for recognizing it and asks for forgiveness and help.\"}]","A Daily Examen | DOCX",1790654943]
