Please read this installation guide thoroughly before installing the 456B. Use only a high quality digital multimeter for testing. This product connects to the vehicle’s low voltage signal wire and improper installation or testing can result in damage to the vehicle. Never use a test light or logic probe to test wires in this vehicle! \nThe 456G interfaces with specific GM full-size truck and SUV vehicles. It converts the signals from the keyless entry, alarm, or remote start into signals that can be understood by the vehicles factory Data Bus system. This allows for interfacing with various factory options such as factory alarms or driver's priority. The 456G also allows for smart dome light integration on some vehicle platforms. \ncar list \n\n| MAKE | MODEL | YEAR |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| Cadillac | Escalade | 2003, 2004 |\n| Chevrolet | Avalanche | 2003, 2004 |\n| Chevrolet | C/K Pick Up | 2003, 2004, 2005 |\n| Chevrolet | Silverado | 2003, 2004, 2005 |\n| Chevrolet | Suburban | 2003, 2004 |\n| Chevrolet | Tahoe | 2003, 2004 |\n| GMC | Full Size Pickup | 2003, 2004, 2005 |\n| GMC | Sierra | 2003, 2004, 2005 |\n| GMC | Yukon | 2003, 2004 |\n| GMC | Yukon Denali | 2003, 2004 |\n| GMC | Yukon XL | 2003, 2004 |\n| GMC | Yukon XL Denali | 2003, 2004 |\n| Hummer | H2 | 2003, 2004 |\n\n© 2004 Directed Electronics, Inc. Connect the power, ground, and data wires before inserting the harness into the module. \n2. Ground the RED/WHITE wire then insert the harness into the 456G module. \n3. The door locks will cycle once for confirmation. \n4. Disconnect the RED/WHITE lock input wire and tape the end of the wire. \nFor keyless entry \n5. Connect the power, ground, and data wires before inserting the harness into the module. \n6. Ground the BLUE status input wire, then insert the harness into the module. \n7. Door locks will cycle twice for confirmation. \n8. Disconnect the BLUE status input wire, and then connect it to the remote start output of the security system. \ndriver’s door priority \nThe 456G will perform driver’s door priority when in keyless mode. The first pulse on the unlock wire will unlock the driver’s door and an additional pulse within five seconds will unlock the other doors. If driver’s door priority is not desired, this can be done by switching the alarm to double pulse unlock or us the BLUE/WHITE wire for all door unlock. Unfortunately, non-keyless models do not have the driver’s door priority option. \n© 2004 Directed Electronics, Inc.
