Explains how to obtain a join code from the AP teacher, the difference between College Board joining and Total Registration completion including payment, and the need to use the same personal external email for both systems. Addresses exam format expectations, Bluebook use for 2025 digital/hybrid exams, fee reductions, SSD accommodations request steps and deadlines, testing conflicts, and exam cancellation/refund policy via AP guidance.","24/ 25 Aliso Niguel High School AP Fact Sheet \nWhat is a “Join Code” and how do I receive one? \nAnswer: A join code is a specific code, given to you by your AP teacher, that allows you access to classroom resources and is the first part of the two-part process of exam registraƟon. You need a College Board account to join your AP class secƟon and register for AP Exams. If you don’t already have an account, please sign up. College Board Log-In \nDoes “joining” the class on the College Board website mean I MUST take the exam? \nAnswer: NO. Joining your class does not mean you MUST take the exam. If you do not wish to take the AP Exam, please email Mrs. Long: [dmlong@capousd.org](dmlong@capousd.org) by Nov. 1st, 2024 \nWhy do I have to register on College Board (CB) and Total RegistraƟon (TR)? \nAnswer: YES! College Board’s system does not accept payment, and this is why we need two systems. Total RegistraƟon \nWhat’s the difference between College Board (CB) and Total RegistraƟon (TR)? \nAnswer: Joining your AP course through College Board populates your exam informaƟon. Registering through Total RegistraƟon completes the process including exam payment. Payment for exams will be handled enƟrely through Total RegistraƟon. NO payment will betaken on campus. Please make sure that you use the same personal, external email address (not a capousd email) for both CB and TR. \nWhy do I have to use my personal email for Total RegistraƟon and College Board, not myschool email? \nAnswer: [Your capousd.org](Your capousd.org) email address is for login purposes only within CUSD. It does not receive mail. College Board and Total RegistraƟon will send important email communicaƟons, and you need to receive them. NOTE: please use the SAME personal email in both systems, and be sure you can access it! \nWhat do I do if I forget my login informaƟon for my College Board Account? \nAnswer: Please use either the reset password opƟon or call College Board directly. DO NOT \ncreate a new account. All of your AP and SAT scores should be linked to one single account. You \nmay call for account assistance or linking mulƟple accounts at (866) 315-6068. \n24/ 25 Aliso Niguel High School AP Fact Sheet Cont… \nWill exams be in person or online? \nAnswer: It is College Board’s intenƟon for exams to be administered in person. Updates will be provided as soon as we receive them. \nWhat is Bluebook, and why do I need it? \nAnswer: Student’s will be required to download the Bluebook app to their Chromebooks in order to take the fully digital and hybrid digital exams for 2025. Bluebook \nHow do I apply for a fee reducƟon for my AP exam? \nAnswer: Students who qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program qualify for a fee reducƟon.
