As students move closer to their postschool destinations, they must develop the skills and values necessary to navigate an ever-changing, complex, and highly competitive world. \nThis year is an exciting time for students, families, and the College to work together in exploring career options, pathways and future course selections. Making informed decisions about subject choices allows students to refine their existing gifts and talents while striving for personal excellence in their studies. \nThe Year 10 curriculum mirrors the increasing rigour of Senior School courses, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of Years 11 and 12. Success in Year 10 is a key prerequisite for many Senior School subjects, reinforcing the importance of commitment and effort from the very start of the year. Subject Selection for 2027 is determined by Semester 1 Reports, making early academic focus essential. \nAs students embark on making important decisions about their future, I encourage them to make the most of every learning opportunity, set ambitious goals, and take ownership of their future success. \nBest wishes for Year 10! \nMs Sharon Rainford Principal \nStudent Life at St Norbert College \nStudent Ministry \nStudent Ministry creates opportunities for all St Norbert College students to become leaders in the College community. Through participating in retreat and Christian Service Learning experience, students discover the power of God in their lives and are encouraged to develop and shine their love out to others. \nIn Year 10, students attend a retreat run by The Youth Mission Team. This retreat has a social justice theme focusing on developing an understanding of respecting the dignity of every human person, how Jesus is a champion of the cause of social justice and how we can respond to the needs of others in our world. \nYear 10 Stu","cbCaipMBuorWaubM","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipMBuorWaubM","pdf",1730099,1,32,"English","en",105,"# From the Principal\n# Student Life at St Norbert College\n## Student Ministry\n## Christian Service Learning\n# Planning Your Course\n## Course Selection\n## Changing Elective Courses\n# Curriculum Overview\n## Religious Education\n## Careers\n# Religious Education (10LREL)\n# Careers\n## 10 Business Management and Enterprise-Elective (10XBME)\n## 10 Career and Employability-Elective (10Xcem)\n# Curriculum Subjects\n## English (10LENG)\n## Health and Physical Education\n## Humanities and Social Sciences (10LHSS)\n## Languages\n## Mathematics\n## Science\n## Technologies\n## The Arts","[{\"question\":\"What factors should students consider when selecting Year 10 electives?\",\"answer\":\"Students should consider minimum entry requirements, their own interests, and their career and aspirations.
