The New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment ( NJGPA) consists of an ELA and a mathematics component to be administered to students in grade 11 for the purpose of meeting the state graduation assessment requirement. Each assessment is typically administered in computer-based (CBT) format, although paper-based testing ( PBT) is available as an accommodation. ELA assessments will focus on writing effectively when analyzing text. Mathematics assessments will focus on applying skills and concepts and understanding multi-step problems that require abstract reasoning and modeling real-world problems, precision, perseverance, and strategic use of tools. Science assessments will focus on applying scientific concepts and practices within the domains of Earth & space, life, and physical science. Students will demonstrate their acquired skills and knowledge by answering selected-response items, constructed response items and technology-enhanced questions.
For additional information and sample questions, visit New Jersey Assessments Resource Center, NJSLA-S Information and Downloads and NJDOE Schedule Additionally, the New Jersey Assessments webpage hosts the following resources which LEAs and APSSDs may find helpful:
● NJSLA-Adaptive and NJGPA-Adaptive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which have been recently updated.
● Test blueprints:
○ NJGPA-A Blueprints for ELA and Mathematics
○ NJSLA-A ELA Blueprints
○ NJSLA-A Mathematics Blueprints
● NJSLA-A and NJGPA-A Writing Rubrics

| Assessment Name | Subject Area & Grade Level Tested | Available Accommodations and Accessibility Features | Testing Mode
(How the test will be administered to students-computer based or paper/pencil.) | Testing Time
(Max amount of time allotted to students to complete the assessment) | Testing Window
(Time period in which districts may administer the assessment) | Results Available |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| NJGPA ELA/ Math Regular Spring Administration | ELA (11)
Math (11) | Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual | Computer-based with paper-based options for students with disabilities | Unit Testing Times | 3/1-3/19 | Summer 2027 |

| NJSLA ELA/ Math Regular Spring Administration | -ELA (3-9)
-Math (3-9) | NJSLA Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual | Computer-based with paper-based options for students with disabilities | Unit Testing Times | 4/19-5/21 | Fall 2027 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| NJSLA Science
Administration | Science (5, 8, 11) | NJSLA Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual | Computer-based with paper-based options for students with disabilities | Unit Testing Times | 4/19-5/21 | Fall 2027 |
| Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Year End (YE) Model | ELA & Math (grades 3-8 and 11) Science
(5, 8, and 11) | DLM Accessibility Manual | Computer-based | | 4/5-5/28 | Immediately |
| ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs
Parent Handout | English language proficiency test (grades K-12) | WI DA Accessibility Accommodations | Paper – Grade K (and by request)
Online Grades 1–12 (Writing portion is paper Grades 1–3) | No time limit | 2/1-4/2 | Fall 2027 |

Local Benchmark Assessments

| Assessment Name | Subject Area & Grade Level Tested | Available Accommodationsand Accessibility Features | Testing Mode | Testing Time | Testing Window | ","cbCaiqzGWRNjUhis","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqzGWRNjUhis","pdf",141582,"English","# State Assessments
## NJSLA (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science)
## NJGPA (Grade 11 ELA and Mathematics)
## Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Year End Model
## ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs (Parent Handout)
# Local Benchmark Assessments
## LinkIt!
