AP exams are very expensive and take up extensive time for preparation and missed classes. They are not required for college applications (except when applying to UK schools) . They take place right before final assessments and many students underestimate the pressure these added exams put on their schedule. Classroom grades are more important than AP exam scores for college applications. Each college has its own policy regarding AP credit, and some do not give any credit at all. In addition, College Board charges high fees for cancelled and unused exams. Students should consult with teachers or advisors if they are unsure about taking an exam. Students should not register for more exams that they are sure they will take. Please do not register for more than 5 exams. \nThis year, most AP exams will be administered in a digital format using the College Board Bluebook application. Math and Science exams will be in a hybrid format and language exams will not change. \nStudents will download the Bluebook application and test on their own device. Exam length has not changed. Please go to the AP website for complete details. \n[https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/exam-administration-ordering-scores/digital-ap-exams](https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/exam-administration-ordering-scores/digital-ap-exams) \nRegistration is divided into two time periods: \nFall registration runs October 17, 2024 – November 8, 2024, at noon. The cost of the AP exams is $99 per exam. \nSpring registration runs February 5, 2025 – March 5, 2025, at noon. The cost of the AP exams is $139 per exam. \nThe exams are given from May 5-16, with make-up exams given May 19-23 (See the schedule below. ) Make-up exams are only scheduled for very specific reasons. (See the list below. ) \nAP exam registration steps: \n1. Sign [into](into myap.collegeboard.org)[ ](into myap.collegeboard.org)[myap.collegeboard.org](into myap.collegeboard.org) using your College Board account login. This is the same login used to access PSAT scores and register for SAT exams. If you don’t have a student account click the link to create one. \n2. Students will receive a list of exam “Join Codes”. Use these codes to register for exams. The student AP dashboard talks about joining course sections. Most Phillips Academy students will only be joining exams. If you are in a specific AP course, ask your teacher if there is a classroom join code. \n3. Submit the join codes for the exams you would like to take. Verify that you have selected the correct exam. You must “join” each exam separately. If using a classroom code, make sure you set the “Exam Decision Indicator”to yes. \n4. Fill out the registration information in My AP the first time you select an exam. Accurate information is important. You will only need to supply this information once. \n5. Be sure to include your PA student ID number and PA Student email address. Double check accuracy! \n6. The Phillips Academy school code for “the school you attend” is 220030 \n7. I will resolve any test date scheduling conflicts that may occur. \n8. Fee payments will be processed by the Comptroller’s Office in the spring. \nRemember: There will be an additional registration period in February if you are unsure now about registering. There is also no longer any type of stand-by testing for AP exams. \nThe exam fees and cancellation policy are listed below. Exam fees will be paid through the Course Material Fee included as part of tuition and are processed through a special account. You do not need to add funds to the Blue Card. \nFall AP Exam Registration Fee Schedule: \nExams ordered from October 17, 2024 – November 8, 2024, at noon: $ 99.00 for EACH exam ordered \nLate AP Exam Registration Fee Schedule: \nExams ordered from February 5, 2025 – March 5, 2025, at noon: $ 139.00 for EACH exam ordered Cancellation Policy: \nFall order","cbCailp8gwwYGiVx","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailp8gwwYGiVx","pdf",108726,"English","# Registration timeline and formats\n## Fall registration and cost\n## Spring registration and cost\n## Digital and hybrid exam administration\n\n# Registration steps and requirements\n## My AP login and join codes\n## Exam selection and exam decision indicator\n## Student ID, email, and school code\n## Payments and scheduling conflicts\n\n# Exam fees and cancellation policy\n## Fee schedules\n## Cancellation refunds and deadlines\n\n# Exam dates and schedule\n## Week 1 exams (May 5-9)\n## Week 2 exams (May 12-22)\n\n# Make-up exams\n## Approved reasons","[{\"question\":\"When does fall and spring AP exam registration begin in 2024–2025?\",\"answer\":\"Fall registration runs from October 17, 2024 to November 8, 2024 at noon.
