Their success is testament to their talent, determination and hard work not only this year, but throughout their time at Melbourne Grammar School. \nWe celebrate Eric Wang and Oscar Zhu who attained the highest possible ATAR of 99.95 and the 19 other students who achieved an ATAR of 99 or more, placing them in the top 1% in the State. Melbourne Grammar’s strong representation at this elite level continues our long history of academic success. \nAbove all, our education program is focussed on preparing students for their future. Scholastic achievement is a crucial part of this journey, but we must remember that an ATAR is not a final destination. It is simply a milestone pointing to the next opportunity. \nA strong moral code and the personal strengths required to embrace whatever the future holds are as important as academic accomplishment. We aim to instil humility and grace in our students, along with genuine care and respect for others, the confidence to stand up for their values and, most importantly, an appreciation of their obligation to use what they have gained at Melbourne Grammar to contribute to the wider world. \nWe recognise and celebrate the many forms of success our students have attained. The Class of 2020 has broadened their perspectives and talents on the sporting field, at the rostrum, on the stage and behind the easel. They have worked in service to others and shown care and interest in the natural environment. \nFor many, their years at Melbourne Grammar began in Prep at Grimwade House. The support our dedicated teachers have given each student throughout their time here is to be commended. In particular, we acknowledge the Year 12 teachers who have demonstrated resourcefulness, flexibility and commitment during this uniquely demanding year. \nThere is no question that 2020 has been a year of challenges. Through ingenuity, positivity and resilience our students have adapted to a changing learning environment. We know these qualities will stand them in good stead, whatever their future holds. \nI wish every student in the Class of 2020 the very best for the years ahead. We are proud of your many achievements. As you continue to learn and grow, remember that our School gates will always be open to you. \nPhilip Grutzner \nHeadmaster \n\\#beyondtheclassroom \nHear from six Class of 2020 students as they discuss their interests and aspirations beyond the classroom. \n2020 VCE results \nATAR OUTCOMES \nAll 201 Melbourne Grammar School Year 12 students attained the VCE in 2020. \nThe median ATAR for our cohort is 86.70. \n99.95 \nTwo students achieved the maximum ATAR of 99.95. \nCongratulations to: \n• Eric Wang \n• Oscar Zhu \n95+ \n29.4% of our students achieved an ATAR of 95+, placing them in the top 5% of the State. \n90+ \n44.8% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90+, placing them in the top 10% of the State. \n99+ \n10.4% of our students achieved an ATAR of 99+, placing them in the top 1% of the State. \nIn addition to those listed left, congratulations to: \n• Luc Cazenave \n• Guillaume Delvaen \n• Peshala Dissanayake \n• Edward Dong \n• Joshua Haysman \n• Lachlan Higgins \n• Patrick Irwin \n• Kelan Lahner \n• Jaden Ling \n• Thirukkumaran (Kumaran) Manivannan \n• Nicholas Morris \n• Matthew Posner \n• Yunzhong Qin \n• Zacch Seah \n• Bo Sergeant \n• Zun Sim \n• Benjamin Stuckey \n• Nicholas Wilson \n• Isaac Yu \nSTUDY SCORE OUTCOMES \nPerfect scores \nNine students achieved the maximum score of 50 in one or more of their subjects. \nCongratulations to: \n• Thomas Bartlett-English \n• Luc Cazenave-Philosophy \n• William Flintoft (Year 11) -Mathematical Methods, Physics \n• Charlie Froomes (Year 11) -Physical Education \n• Joshua Haysman-Art \n• Kelan Lahner-Economics \n• Jaden Ling-English (EAL) \n• Hamish MacLaren-Further Mathematics \n• Oscar Zhu-Chemistry, Literature \n45+ \n6.6% of all","cbCaitzR4tKIyx9V","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitzR4tKIyx9V","pdf",619802,"English","# ATAR outcomes\n## Overall ATAR attainment\n## 99.95 and 99+ highlights\n## 95+ and 90+ bands\n# Study score outcomes\n## Perfect scores\n## 45+ and 40+ distribution\n## Letter grade comparison\n# Recognition and achievement","[{\"question\":\"What was the median ATAR for the Melbourne Grammar School cohort in 2020?\",\"answer\":\"The median ATAR for the cohort was 86.70.\"},{\"question\":\"Which students achieved the maximum ATAR of 99.95 in 2020?\",\"answer\":\"Two students achieved 99.95: Eric Wang and Oscar Zhu.\"},{\"question\":\"How many students achieved perfect study scores of 50 in one or more subjects?\",\"answer\":\"Nine students achieved the maximum score of 50 in one or more of their subjects.\"}]","2020 VCE Results - A Tradition of Excellence | PDF",1789906375]
