We hope this will serve as the lighthouse for all perusal in this quality assurance journey.  \ni  \nProf. Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Masmali  \nVice President for Planning and Development  \nPreface  \nKSU’s IQA and Accreditation journey from 2009 to 2023 has been a great challenge as KSU’s IQA evolution has to meet the ETEC-NCAAA’s six modifications over the last 14 years. It was a tumultuous but challenging exercise for KSUto adapt its IQA system and mechanisms. On the contrary, KSU has risen to the challenge by incorporating the newest ETEC-NCAAA requirements of the Standards, Sub-Standards, Items, and KPIs that have been simplified with generic systemic approaches. The ETEC-NCAAA’s simplifications have been a blessing as KSU has always used a systemic and systematic approach in its IQA system development and management.  \nThese have led to the re-positioning of the KSU-QMS (Quality Management System) into the 2023 20|20 KSU-QPMS (Quality Performance Management System) Handbook 1 (5th Edition, June 2023) that continues to maintain the KSU’s“Towards Excellence” stance through:  \n1) The use and integration of the ETECNCAAA’s Standards, Sub-Standards, and Items as the critical Criteria for the whole 20|20 KSU-PEM (Performance Excellence Model) using the KSU-PIQ (PlanningInformation-Quality) Troika.  \n2) The 20|20 KSU-PEM (Performance Excellence Model) is adapted from the core values and principles of MBNQA (Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award) .  \n3) The adaption of the 20|20 KSU-PEAF (Performance Excellence Assessment Framework) based on the MBNQA Performance Excellence Evaluative Factors of ADLI (Approach, Deployment, Learning, and Integration) for Process Criteria, and LeTCI (Levels, Trends, Comparisons, and Integration) for Results Criteria.  \n4) The culmination of all the above is done through the KSU-BOA (Board of Assessors), that are the core component of the 20|20 KSU-IAA (Internal Audit and Assessment) cycles that are reported in the QPAR (Quality Performance Assessment Report) for continuous improvements and developmental planning and actions by the programs.
