For the first time in tournament history, we will host a ProAm and Champion’s Dinner. These events will take place on Tuesday, August 2nd, and they will be highlighted by the presentation of the Joseph A. Kosin IWO Scholarship. If you are eligible and have not yet applied for the scholarship, we encourage you to do so. Applications are available on the IWO tournament website [at www.mistwoodgolf.net](at www.mistwoodgolf.net).  \nAnother exciting addition to this year’s tournament is the inclusion of a hole-in-one car. Made possible by Bill Jacobs Cadilliac Joliet, contestants will take home a brand new Cadilliac if they make a hole-in-one on the par-3 ninth hole during the tournament.  \nThe Illinois Women’s Open has become the premier championship for women’s golf in the state of Illinois, and for the past 13 years Mistwood Golf Club has proven to be a formidable venue for the elite professional and amateur golfers to showcase their abilities. Following 36 holes of play, the field will be cut to the low 30 scores plus ties. In the case of a tie for the Championship, a sudden death playoff will commence following the posting of the final score. Playoff holes will be determined by the rules committee. In the case of inclement weather, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to shorten the length of the championship.  \nTournament Purse  \nThe first place prize of $3,000.00 will be awarded to the champion. The champion will also receive the honor of having her name recognized on the Kosin Cup, and the privilege of an honorary membership to Mistwood Golf Club. Competitors playing additional practice rounds will be offered a discounted rate of $30.00 to walk and $39.00 with cart. The same restrictions apply to additional practice rounds.
