In this book, two sisters, Zelda and Ivy, have some adventures together. Each day, you will be reading a chapter of the book. Use your Be the Boss of Your Reading chart and all you know about figuring out tricky words to read the book (by turning off the volume) and then listen to the story. Read Chapter 1 (pages 1-15, stop the video at 3:03) .\u003Cbr>|\n\n\n|  | After reading the first chapter, go back through what you read to look for compound words. Compound words are words that are made of two or more small words, joined together to create a new word that has a new meaning. For example, the words butter and fly can be put together to make the compound word butterfly.\u003Cbr>Look back through the chapter and see how many compound words you can find! Write them down and then circle the smaller words hiding inside. After taking your sneak peek, write down a 1-3 sentence prediction about what will happen in this chapter. Make sure to answer, what kind of concoction do you think Ivy has made?
