The narrative follows Joseph’s request to Pilate to bury Jesus, including Jesus’ body being wrapped in linen and placed in a rock-cut tomb. It then describes the chief priests and Pharisees approaching Pilate to seal the tomb and station guards to prevent the disciples from stealing the body.","149 Jesus Is Alive \nMatt. 27:26-28:10 Mark 15:15-16:8 Luke \n23:32-24:9 John 19:16-20:1 \nEnglish Spiritual \n149 Jesus Is Alive \nEnglish \n© 2020 Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work. They nailed two thieves to crosses, one on his right, and one on his left. In the afternoon, Jesus died. \nThat evening, a good and righteous man named Joseph went to Pilate and asked Pilate to permit him to take Jesus’ body to bury it. Joseph was a member of the Jewish Council, but he had not agreed to kill Jesus. \nWith Pilate’s permission, Joseph took the dead body of Jesus down from the cross. He wrapped it in a linen cloth and put Jesus’ body in a burial chamber or tomb that was cut out of rock and had never been used. \nThe chief priests and some of the Pharisees went to Pilate.“Sir,” they told him,“Weremember that when this deceiver was still alive, he said he would come alive again after three days.” \nThey continued,“So we ask you to order soldiers to guard the tomb so his disciples can’t come and steal the body and then declare that he is alive!” \nPilate said,“Take guards to make sure they do not steal his body.” So they sealed the burial place and stationed guards.","cbCaiswmZAb7U5Xm","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiswmZAb7U5Xm","pdf",2668193,1,20,"English","en",105,"# Jesus’ death and burial\n## Joseph asks Pilate for Jesus’ body\n## Sealed tomb and stationed guards","[{\"question\":\"What happened to Jesus after he was condemned?\",\"answer\":\"Jesus was nailed to the cross, and two thieves were crucified with him—one on his right and one on his left.
