To avoid unrest and satisfy religious leaders, Jesus is led away to be crucified while carrying his own cross. Soldiers compel Simon to help carry the cross, and they reach Golgotha at nine in the morning. Jesus is nailed to the cross and prays, “Father forgive them,” as events fulfill Scripture about his garments being divided.","148 Jesus Is Crucified \nMatt. 27:23-56 Mark 15:10-41 Luke 23:14-49 John 19:4-35, 20:31 \nEnglish Spiritual \n148 Jesus Is Crucified \nEnglish \n© 2020 Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work. But to appease the religious leaders and to prevent the crowd from rioting, Pilate sentenced Jesus to death by crucifixion. \nSo the soldiers led Jesus away to crucify him. And Jesus was carrying his own cross. \nAlong the way, the soldiers forced a man named Simon to carry Jesus’ cross. \nThey came to a place called Golgotha, which means “Place of a Skull”. It was 9 o’clock in the morning when they nailed Jesus to a cross with iron spikes in his hands and his feet. \nLooking down at those who had crucified him, Jesus said from the cross,“Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” \nThen Pilate’s soldiers gambled for Jesus’clothes, fulfilling the Scripture that said,“They divided my garments among them, and gambled for my clothing.”","cbCaihIfIwGnwSJL","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaihIfIwGnwSJL","pdf",4754192,3,1,30,"English","en",105,"# Matthew 27:23-56\n# Mark 15:10-41\n# Luke 23:14-49\n# John 19:4-35, 20:31\n# Pilate’s
