It had come to his mind that the time had come for him to provide against the coming vigor (force) . Therefore he moved uneasily on the bench.  \nHe thought he will do something mischievous for the cops to notice and then , he would be arrested and sent for  \n3 months jail, where he would get a shelter, food and some good company  \nSoapy left his bench and strolled (walked) out of the square and across the level sea of asphalt, where the Broadway and Fifth Avenue flows together.
