of unparalleled complexity and uncertainty,geopolitical tensions,economic protectionism and trade tensions,slow growth,elevated public debt levels,increasinginequality,raging wars,democratic decline,setbacks on gender equality and human rights,and anongoing climate crisis.These challenges,including increased tariffs and uncertainties,risk havingdevastating consequences on all countries,not least the most vulnerable.  \nMost SDGs will not be met by 2030.To get back on track,Multilateral development cooperation is moreimportant than ever.The Nordic and Baltic countries remain committed to multilateralism,openand rules-based trade and a world order based on international law,including the principle ofsovereignty and territorial integrity.  \nThe Nordic and Baltic countries unequivocally condemn Russia's ongoing illegal,unprovoked andunjustified full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine.Our support for Ukraine's independence,sovereignty and territorial integrity is unwavering.Our main priority is to strengthen Ukraine.We stressthe need to work together closely to secure a lasting and just peace in accordance with international law.We strongly oppose any lifting of sanctions on Russia until a fair and lasting peace is achieved inUkraine,in fullcompliance with international law,the UN Charter and relevant UN General Assemblyresolutions.The World Bank plays a critical role in supporting Ukraine's relief,recovery,reform andreconstruction efforts.It is imperative that this support continues.  \nThe Nordic and Baltic countries deplore the breakdown of the ceasefire in Gaza and the civiliancasualties and call for the unconditional release of the hostages,unimpeded humanitarian assistanceand for an immediate return to the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.We call for the releaseof clearance revenues.Scaled-up humanitarian assistance is urgently needed.  \nCrises and conflicts,such as in the Sahel,Sudan,and DR Congo have devastating consequences forpeople,communities and economies.Continued engagement in countries marred by conflict is animportant way to deliver on the Bank's mission to eradicate extreme poverty.  \nEighty years after their establishment,we reaffirm our support to the Bretton Woods institutions and theUN.We underscore the critical role of the World Bank in the international financial architecture.  \nWe commend the steps taken and results achieved through the World Bank Evolution for a faster,simpler,and more impactful bank,stressing the need for continued reform.With its uniquefinancing model,enhanced outcome focus,linked with knowledge and policy advice,the Bank is a keypartner of choice.While safeguarding the triple-A rating,we should consider all possible financingoptions,including hybrid capital and,in the long-term,analyse carefully the need for a possible GeneralCapital Increase.  \nWe should pride ourselves on the IDA21 replenishment,a great
