While searching for his father’s lost donkeys, Saul is given a divine message, receives anointing with olive oil, and is affirmed as a ruler over God’s people. Samuel gathers Israel at Mizpah, addresses the request for a king, then publicly identifies Saul and the people proclaim, “Long live the king!”","044 Saul is Anointed King \n1 Samuel 9:3-27; 10:1-24; 14:47-48; 15:1-35 English Spiritual \n044 Saul is Anointed King \nEnglish \n© 2020 Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work.
