At Cross of Christ, our worship is designed to praise God and enrich faith. We aim to make the service clear and appropriately reverent. For your convenience, the service is printed as well as projected on the screens. \nBring the kids. Our congregation enjoys the worshiping family. The service includes a children’s message specifically for them, and children who act up are never viewed as a bother. However, the lobby provides plenty of space for moving around when needed! Video & audio of the worship service are available in the lobby to assist families with their worship, as well as in the private parents’ room, located in the alcove to your left as you exit the chapel. Don’t feel obligated. Our members give offerings to God as an expression of our thanks and praise for his amazing love. Visitors, please know that you are our guests. We’re happy you came today to hear about Jesus and the gifts he gives us. You’re not expected to give an offering; it’s your choice. \nMake yourself at home. Today’s a special day! There’s breakfast for all in the gym between services (approx. 9:30-10:45am), an egg hunt for the kids at 10:20am, and coffee in the lobby following the 11am service. We’d be honored if you’d join in! \nRestrooms are located to the left and right of the water fountain in the lobby. Questions? If you’d like to know more about our church or our beliefs, feel free to speak with one of our pastors after the service. More information is also [available online at cocidaho.org](available online at cocidaho.org). \nPastor: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. \nCongregation: Amen. \nChrist is risen! \nHe is risen indeed! Alleluia! \nChrist, the Lamb who was slain, now lives in the glory of the Father. Let us come before him in worship, honor, and joyous thanksgiving! \nRefrain \nThe resurrection of Jesus is such a sweet celebration only because his death on a cross was so bitter. We confess that he died because of our sins. Yet, since the empty grave of Jesus is real, even the cross is a source of celebration. It’s a place we see God’s grace and goodness toward us. There, on the cross, everyone of our sins was nailed with Christ. All our guilt and shame died with him. Let us take a moment to acknowledge the price Jesus paid for our forgiveness so that we could receive it without cost. \ntime for silent confession & prayer \n2 What truth can calm the troubled soul? \nGod is good, God is good. \nWhere is his grace and goodness known? \nIn our great Redeemer’s blood. Who holds our faith when fears arise? \nWho stands above the stormy trial? Who sends the waves that bring us nigh \nunto the shore, the rock of Christ? \nRefrain Oh, sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal; \nOh, sing, hallelujah! Now and ever we confess \nChrist our hope in life and death. \nIn his great mercy, God has given us a new life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3) . A new life free from shame. A new life full of acceptance. A new life bright with hope. \nAmen and alleluia! \nThe cross Jesus carried gave way to a victorious crown of life. In the same way, we believe that whatever crosses we carry will not last. His life is our life. His glory is our glory. Now and forever. For Christ is risen! \nHe is risen indeed! Alleluia! \n3 Unto the grave, what shall we sing? \n“Christ, he lives; Christ, he lives!”And what reward will heaven bring? \nEverlasting life with him. \nThere we will rise to meet the Lord, \nthen sin and death will be destroyed, \nAnd we will feast in endless joy, \nwhen Christ is ours forevermore! \nRefrain Oh, sing hallelujah!
